Anyway, here's a short description for each track I've submitted: TRACK 1: ActRaiser - Fillmore - Here's my debut piece, for sure. I finished it months ago but I decided to save it for Famicompo 8. I hope you guys especially enjoy this one, I put a lot of work into it and spent an incredulous amount of time making small edits here and there. TRACK 2: Three 6 Mafia - Stay Fly - Okay, I'm going to be honest, this is a troll entry. Disregard it as I hate the original song and made this to mock how bad it is. TRACK 3: Eschatos - Point of No Return (unfinished) - I was only able to finish the first loop of the song in time for Famicompo 8, but hopefully it should be enough to be interesting. I absolutely love Yosuke Yasui's work, and his pieces in Eschatos were no different. TRACK 4: Fallout 3 - Tenpenny Tower (Jazzcore Remix) - Yes, this is the incredibly annoying Tenpenny Tower music from the Fallout 3 location of the same name. No, I have no idea what Jazzcore actually is (especially after looking at various Youtube videos that are supposed to be jazzcore...damn that stuff was weird), so basically just think of it as an original VRC6 remix. TRACK 5: Sanzen In - This is a cover of a guitar duet I once heard back in late 2010 as a marimba duet at a renowned percussion group's Christmas concert (also, my little brother was and it still part of said group, so put two and two together and you get why I fell in love with this song in the first place). I actually made this back in early 2011, but haven't touched it ever since. Not to mention I only just decided about 20 minutes before the final submission to include it in my NSF. Probably the most fun with a track I've ever had in recent times, to be honest. I hope you guys enjoy all these tracks, I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am for this! |

| COMMENT | 西方Project「秋霜玉」より、５面ボス曲「魔法少女十字軍」です。 東方Projectでお馴染み、上海アリス幻樂団 ZUN氏の作曲です。 (マルチトラックのコンセプト) １個のNSFファイルに５曲まで…という制限で真っ先に思いついたのが「マキシシングル」でした。 すなわち、表題曲＋remix（別バージョン）＋カラオケ、の形式です。 それに習い、表題曲に加えて表題曲の別アレンジとメロディ抜きバージョンを１つのファイルに収め、「一粒で三度美味しい」ファイルに仕上げました。 (Track1: 魔法少女十字軍) この曲は、前回の「Famicompo mini vol.7」用に作っていたものでしたが、当時は２割ほど作った段階で「今はこれ以上納得いく完成度にできない」と判断し、一旦お蔵入りにしていました。 あれから約１年半。 この間、同人・商業でChiptune関連の作曲・編曲を通して得た経験から、「今なら満足いくものが作れるはず」と確信し、再び当時のデータに大改造を加えて完成したのがこの「魔法少女十字軍」です。 過去のFamicompo miniでは、遭えてマイナーな選曲やマニアックな表現方法を用いて、どちらかというと「実験的な場」として作品を発表していましたが、今回は基本に立ち返って「リスナーの立場に立った聴きやすさ」を重視して作成しました。 …とはいえ、シンプルな作風ではなく、近年得た技術や経験をフィードバックした、集大成的作品になっています。 要するに、いつものように「濃ゆい」ですｗ 薄味の曲が好きな方には胸焼けがする作品かもしれませんが、アツい曲をお求めの方にはオススメです。 (Track2: 魔法少女十字軍 "Destroy Them All" mix) STGのBGMといえば、個人的に真っ先に思いつくのが８分３連(通称12beat)のノリ…なんですが、（私の知る限り）ZUN氏の曲で全編がこのノリのものを聴いた記憶がありません。 せっかくだから、この機会に８分３連バージョンも作ってしまいましょう！ …というわけで、８分３連といえば…FM音源ステレオサウンドでお馴染みのあの有名STG…の最終面BGM…のMSX版！(どんどん趣味に偏っている…) この雰囲気で魔法少女十字軍を鳴らすとどうなるか実験してみたところ、こんなん出ましたけどー、的な。 「どこが魔法少女十字軍やねん！」という向きもあろうかと思いますが、あくまでオマケということで、生温かい目で見守っていただければと。 本当はもう１バージョンぐらい全く違う趣のアレンジバージョンを作りたかったのですが、残念ながら時間切れでした… (Track3: 魔法少女十字軍 (KARAOKE)) コンセプトが「マキシシングル」なので、最後は「カラオケ」ですｗ 今回の曲は、メロディを鳴らしているパートが固定ではないので、イントロと最後を除いて、メロ＆ハモりを選別してカットしてみました。 ここまで来ると完全に蛇足かもしれませんが、対旋律パートでいくつか小ネタを仕込んでますので、メロを除くことでそれが見つけやすくなってます。 気づいた方はニヤニヤしてください。 |
