Trying to retain as many of the notes from the original while sticking to the restrictions of 2a03 was massive pain in the neck. The fact that the piece is so long doesn't help either. Famicompo に出すのは初めてです。半日くらい前に作り始めてついさっき出来た奴なのですが、偶然 mck スレを眺めていたらエントリー受け付けてることに気づいたので、せっかくだから投げてみます。 コンセプトは Funky K.H. meets 3D ホットラリーという感じですな。ついでに「セガ・ゲームミュージックVOL.2」と全く同じメドレーにしてみました。おっさんどもは懐かしさに涙してください。ちなみに、私が初めて買ったゲームミュージックのカセットテープがコレ。 イントロのベースが16分ずれてますが、これは原曲どおりです。原曲どおりにするか、それともきっちり上モノと揃えるか悩んだのですが、これはこれで悪くないのでそのままにしてあります。 |

One of my favourite tracks from one of my all-time favourite games. I have so many good memories related to Donkey Kong Country 2, there was no way I wouldn't do an NSF cover of one of its tracks. :) This is definitely one of the NSFs I'm the most proud of. The only downside to it is the fact that some DMC samples are barely audible, and there's this beeping sound it does when their volume is too low... Blah. I believe it's good nonetheless. |

今までの私のFamicompoエントリー曲は、（前回「CLASSICAL」の「Air on G "Swing"」を除いて）どうしてもテクニック重視になって「やり過ぎ」と云われ続けたので(^^;)、今回はテクニックありきではなく、「大好きな曲を忠実に再現して自分のパソコンで鳴らしたい」という願望が原点で作り始めた曲です。 この曲はゲームミュージックではなく、インディーズで今年デビューしたばかりのポップデュオ「detune.」のアルバム『わ・を・ん』に収録されている曲です。 どの楽曲も大好きなんですけど、特にこの「星に願いを☆」はヤラれました。 切なさとキラキラが凝縮されたこの曲は、個人的には十年に一度くらいしかめぐり合えないほど好きな曲です。 今回は、この曲を（全く異なる音源ながら）可能な限り忠実に再現しよう、というコンセプトで作りました。 高速エンベロープなどのあからさまなテクニックはあまり使っていないものの、１音１音を丁寧に聴かせるために色々と地味な(^^;)テクニックを使っています。（あまりに地味過ぎて、手間に対するリターンが少なすぎるのが玉にキズT_T） あと、今回のヴォーカルパートはVRC6を使ってます。 2ch使い、音色の組み合わせで微妙なニュアンスを出しているのですが…これがもー大変。 しかも、波形メモリと違ってベースは矩形波なので、苦労して打ち込んだ割にはあまり音色に違いが表れず、聞き流してしまうと音色変化をほとんど感じられないかもしれませんね…(T_T) 実際のところ、MMLはもー大変なことになってまして…どれだけ大変だったかは、NSFファイルが64KBというところからお察しください。(^^;) ちなみに、この曲はアルバム販売サイトで試聴できますので、是非原曲と聴き比べてみてください。 原曲再現度でいけば、結構イイ線いってると思うんですけど…どうでしょう？？ http://www.faderbyheadz.com/release/headz90.html |
